Propeller Aero
SUSTAINABLE DESIGN IN ACTION – A CIRCULAR ECONOMY APPROACH BY PALM
When Propeller Aero set out to create a workplace that reflected their dynamic, forward-thinking culture, sustainability wasn’t just a consideration — it was a priority. The vision was clear: a space that embodied authenticity, flexibility, and environmental responsibility.
Working alongside Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, PALM Projects embraced a circular economy approach, ensuring materials were reused, repurposed, and reimagined wherever possible. With the foundational elements already in place, we strategically retained, refinished, and reintroduced existing assets — minimizing waste while maximizing impact.
Sustainability Wins:
♻️ Material Reuse: Existing structural elements, exposed beams, and timber finishes were preserved and enhanced, reducing the need for new materials.
🪑 Smart Procurement: High-quality, pre-loved furniture was sourced and reintegrated—a move that cut costs and environmental impact without compromising design.
💡 Energy Efficiency: Natural light was optimized through thoughtful layout planning, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and lowering energy consumption.
Beyond aesthetics, the result is a space that aligns seamlessly with Propeller Aero’s values—commitment, openness, and embracing the journey. Their team now enjoys an inspiring, high-performance environment that is not only future-proof but future-conscious.
