If you've worked with Kim Seeto, you already know - he’s the kind of project manager who makes every job smoother, every challenge easier, and every client experience better - and the reason we are over the moon Kim calls PALM his work home.
A powerhouse in the design & construction (D&C) industry, Kim is well-respected for his expertise, problem-solving, and unwavering commitment to delivering cost-effective, high-quality projects. But it’s his genuine, down-to-earth nature that makes him truly stand out.
We sat down with Kim for a Q&A to dive into his experience, approach, and why life is simply better with Kim in it.

Q: Kim, you’ve been in the industry for a long time. What keeps you motivated?
Kim: I love a good challenge. Every project is different, and that keeps things interesting. But ultimately, I’m motivated by seeing a job come together seamlessly, keeping my clients happy, and making sure our team feels proud of the work we’ve delivered. Oh, and removing the floor protection at the end of a project — that's when a messy site suddenly transforms into a finished space. That never gets old!
Q: What’s your secret to running a successful project?
Kim: Two things: trust and communication. At the start of a project, it’s not about telling clients how to do things — they’re already smart people. My job is to build trust so they know they’re in safe hands. Once that’s in place, everything flows. And communication is key. A project manager has to deliver both good and bad news, and being upfront is the best way to keep things moving smoothly.
Q: What do you think sets you apart as a project manager?
Kim: My trade background definitely helps. I’ve been on the tools, so I understand the realities of construction, and I have a strong rapport with subcontractors. That means I can problem-solve quickly, find cost-effective solutions, and keep everything running efficiently — without sacrificing quality.
Q: What advice would you give to a client about to start an office fitout or refurbishment?
Kim: Simple — find a project manager you can trust and let them do their job. When there’s trust between the client and PM, everything is easier. They don’t have to stress about the small stuff because they know we’ve got it covered. That’s half the battle won.
Q: What drew you to PALM Projects, and what excites you most about the future here?
Kim: Culture was a big factor. I asked around and got great feedback about PALM’s leadership and team dynamic. I’ve worked in big firms where the bosses were more focused on their careers than their people. That’s not the case here. At PALM, there’s a real sense of support and integrity. If you’re doing the right thing, the team has your back.
The exciting part? Seeing where PALM Projects will be in five years and growing alongside it.
Q: What’s one must-have feature in every modern office fitout?
Kim: Breakout areas and multiple quiet meeting spaces. People need a balance between collaboration and focused work. Having a well-designed mix of both makes a massive difference to productivity and well-being.
Q: How do your personal values align with PALM Projects?
Kim: I believe in genuine relationships and always going the extra mile —and that’s exactly how PALM operates. We’re about getting the job done right, being upfront and honest, and putting people first. That’s why clients trust us and keep coming back.
Q: The last supper — who’s getting an invite?
Kim: Rorion Gracie. No hesitation.
At PALM Projects, we pride ourselves on having the best people in the business — and Kim Seeto is one of them. If you’re lucky enough to have Kim running your project, you’re in very safe hands.
